A project based on James Joyce's "Pennelope"

The assignment was to make a short movie in Director 7 that included audio. The dialogue is from a wonderful story that's been passed around on the internet, author unknown.

WARNING: after hitting play wait for the entire scene to load before clicking with the mouse. When the bird shows up it should be about done.

All of the visuals used in this piece come from a manipulation of twelve pictures that I found on the net or scanned in. I used Eadweard Muybridge's bird photographs (which I scanned) to make my animation for the flying bird.

The assignment was to make a project based on "Pennelope." I hated Joyce's rambling story but I think the visuals came out striking. The text consists of quotes from "Pennelope." The man is made from a series of Eadweard Muybridge photographs, along with the similar cycle of a woman walking. The rest are photographs that a friend took of me which I manipulated heavily in photoshop.
You can click on the man seven times consecutively to get seven scenes. If you click on the girls they take you to different scenes and then start you back at "man" scene one.
