I've finally taken the first stab at cleaning my room ;) Among the plethora of excuses, I think I've been procrastinating because I didn't want to look at all the maternity clothes, birth books, or unpack the bag that Patri had put together for me for our "camping trip" at the hospital.
It is good getting those things out of the way. Patri and I are aiming to switch rooms before the baby actually comes home... thus far I've just been trying to get mine to the point of seeing the floor... I'll start putting things I want to keep in boxes on the next pass ;)
Patri wants to start boxing up things that we won't use for the
next six months or so for the upcoming move to a new home now. I
still need to think about what I want/if I want to pack up... six
months is a long time, and I won't be surprised if it takes longer:
I've done pretty complete moves in less time than that, and I've
found that its often worth the effort of a little extra
packing/unpacking to make things feel homey/less transitory. It
seems like there shouldn't be many things I should pack for that long
that I don't just want to get rid of. Except maternity clothes of
course, that one was easy ;)
