This morning I was wondering again if there was a problem with the heater: my room was getting very very cold, then very very hot. I also slept terribly, again: the night before it had taken me over a half hour to fall asleep because I was so cold, despite the mound of blankets I'd piled on top of myself. Once again, the heater was innocent: after seeing that the registered temperature was not changing with my body temperature, I finally dug up the thermometer and saw that I had a temp of 102.3 :P
As feared, I exposed the baby right when coming down with it and most contagious. And Patri, who just underwent anesthesia and hasn't been feeling so hot himself. :P
On the bright side, at least I'm not as big a wuss as I thought I was, I'd felt bad enough this morning with the heat and chills and general grogginess that I actually called a couple of people and asked them if they could drive Patri to his endoscopy and ph probe insertion. It was too late notice, but Anna was kind enough to lend me the van again, so I got to sleep while Patri was having his treatment. And also, I have been keeping up my practice of trying not to touch my face after washing my hands upon entering the NICU, so hopefully Tovar will be okay...

Just got off the phone with Tom one of the super cool nurses who
has been working with Tovar a lot lately. He said that Tovar is
doing fine :)
